Summary of work:
My research is about modelling household energy use.
Research Projects
This project studies household energy use via dynamic network models. Currently, most research in this field uses independent variables on the individual level (e.g., questionnaires aimed at one person in a household). However, the dependent variable (energy use) is measured on a group level (e.g., the energy use of the entire household). Thus, there is a discrepancy in measurement level. We aim to include variables of all members in a household (e.g., let all household members fill out a questionnaire) to our modelling and hypothesize that this improves the prediction of household energy use.
